Practicing our Water Changes for the Savai’i Crossing ~ American Samoa

At the end of April, our paddling team from the American Samoa Association of Paddlers is traveling to (Western) Samoa to participate in a canoe race between the islands of Upolu and Savai’i.  Last year we went with one men’s team and one women’s team.  This year they are only racing mixed teams, so we are sending one team.  We have been practicing 4 days a week for a couple of months it seems and are getting strong and fit.  It is a change race (it is 40km or something and took the women 8 hours last year!).  This year we hope to be much faster (please, please let it not last 8 hours..) and very competitive.  Today was our first time to practice our water changes off an escort boat.  Video and snapshots!
