Lake St Clair and Mt Field National Parks ~ Australia

Making our way back towards Hobart, we passed through a series of National Parks.  We stopped to check out as much as we could.  This area deserves weeks of exploration!

Mt Field National Park has glowworms all along the side of the hill near Nelson Falls, pretty neat to walk in the pitch black night holding onto the railing so you can see them. Needless to say, pictures didn’t work since I didn’t have a tripod!

After these lovely days, it was back to Hobart and the airport for either home or more travels for each of us.

How do you tell how tall this tree is?

Use this contraption!

It is set up a certain distance from the base of the tree so the angle tells the height
