Northern Lights ~ Anchorage ~ Alaska ~ Day 2

Second attempt.  I went out with Kristen, who will be one of our instructors at the workshop in Fairbanks next week. She recommended that I try with higher ISO, as it makes the colors appear more. Helpful!  Thanks! I was also able to generally have better focus. Maybe next time I’ll try a different lens to see if it is easier.  I have a fixed 25mm with a similarly low aperture that might work.  Really I need to figure out how to wear my reading glasses without them fogging up and/or freezing to my face!! This aging of the corneas is highly irritating…

It was super windy, which seemed to blow the streaks of color out so they were more diffuse. The whole sky was a light florescent green sometimes!

Stay tuned, the photos should be better once I get more tips, hooray!
