The lunar eclipse was visible here from 2 am to 4 am in the early hours of January 31. I got up at 2 and caught a glimpse of a half-obscured moon between clouds. A bit later – completely overcast. Disappointed but not discouraged! The moon was still mostly full that evening, so we watched from Lanikai Beach with the Mokulua Islands as a backdrop. We were really surprised how red the moon was as it rose!
Following is a series of photos I took that evening. Too bad I didn’t get a picture of the rat that ran over Tim as he laid on a blanket drinking wine! It is now a blanket with red dots…. Almost paradise I guess.
So stunning, you couldn’t see much of it here in the Netherlands. Amazing photos!
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed them!
Beautiful pics.
Would’ve loved to have seen the rat.
Wow Brenda, nice job, they are gorgeous. I need to come to Hawaii some day. Lol
